4 Tips To Make You A Master Closer

If we were to take a close look at our lives, we would discover that over 75% of it is selling. Not necessarily selling as we picture selling:

  • Used and new cars
  • Magazines
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Siding or windows
  • Etc…

No, I am talking about selling that we don’t deem selling:

  • “Dad, if I mow the yard, can I use the car to take (girlfriend’s name) to the dance?”
  • “Will you marry me?”
  • “I will come in early all this week if I can take Friday off?”
  • Etc…

Yes, we are still using selling techniques to get what we want.

And one of the most important parts to any sales presentation is the close.

I know, I know, you are probably thinking this is a website dedicated to recruiting into our network marketing business.

Yes, it is! And guess what? That is also a form of sales. You have to sell yourself and the MLM company you are promoting. And to do so, you will get further if you are great at closing. So, I am going to help you…

Here are 4 tips to make you a master closer.

Master Closer Tip #1: Be Genuine

If you walk into the presentation with the mindset that all you care about is getting a recruit or sale, your odds of failure are extremely high.

Why?

Because people can read intentions, and that may work for the used car salesperson, but for network marketers looking to recruit, people want to know you care about more than just selling them. They need to know you care about their future and that you will help them along the way.

You need to be real and genuine and not just a fast talker looking to make a quick buck.

“Approach each customer with the idea of helping him or her to solve a problem or achieve a goal, not of selling a product or service.” – Brian Tracy

Master Closer Tip #2: Learn As Much About Your Prospect As Possible

When you go into your close, knowing:

  • type of work
  • family
  • education
  • political leanings
  • religious background
  • etc,

will only help you customize your close to fit them.

Because you should show how the opportunity can benefit many of these areas…

Master Closer Tip #3: Use A 3rd Party

Be it your sponsor, another member of your upline, or Rocket Recruiting, using a 3rd party in your closing process can make it run much smoother. After all, 2 heads are better than 1, and when you use a 3rd party, that is exactly what you get.

Master Closer Tip #4: Put The Pen In Their Hand And The Contract In Front Of Them

What I mean here is when you are at that final closing mark, assume the person is going to join you and your opportunity.

Do not wrestle with your thoughts.

It works like this… “Now that we have answered all your questions, it is time to finish up. (as you hand the pen and contract) All I’ll need is your signature and your home based business will be in operation. And, I will be calling to give you some tips on how to start building revenues fast.”

If you had a smile the whole time, the biggest percentage of the time, they will sign the dotted line.

And you need to follow up with your promises of helping immediately.

Conclusion

These 4 tips have worked for me and they WILL work for you. As a matter of fact, they are timeless tips that can be used in any sales situation, not just network marketing.
