Whenever you are somewhere doing something, have your business in your mind, without coming off like a used car salesman, look for opportunities.
- At the laundromat – Make small talk with that other person waiting and share your business opportunity.
- In the grocery store – That person is looking at vitamins. Maybe they would like to try your brand?
- At your child’s sporting event – “What do you do for a living?” (Elevator pitch time)
- Etc…
No matter where you are, what you are doing or who you are with, you most likely have a chance to share your opportunity with another person.
Productivity And The Network Marketer Tip #2: Rob From Lazy Time
We all have “lazy time.”
- Watching television
- Playing games on the smartphone or computer
- Sitting on the porch studying the human population
- Etc…
So what if you take a percentage of that “lazy time” and put it into prospecting, recruiting, following up or training?
I challenge you, after reading this post, get out a pen and paper and write down your “lazy times.” Now decide how much of each of these you are willing to give up in the name of network marketing productivity.

When you mention scripts in a crowd of network marketers, you will probably get a lot of yea’s and nay’s.
Personally, I believe having basic scripts for different circumstances and objections is wise. Now, I am not saying to hold your script in your hand and read to a prospect. There is no need to follow a script word for word. But having a basic script and practicing it will help when you are in that certain situation.
Productivity And The Network Marketer Tip #4: Don’t Allow Distractions To Take Your Focus
Today’s world is full of distractions. If we allow these distractions…
- Social media
- Shopping
- Unnecessary phone calls
- Etc…
If we allow them to take our focus from the task and the goal, success will be much more difficult to attain.
So maybe turning off notifications or even turning off your phone will help.
The key is staying focused on the task at hand and unless there is a dire emergency, stick to the plan.
Productivity And The Network Marketer Tip #5: Positivity = Productivity
Of all the tips you are receiving today, this is at the top of the list. Let me explain…
No matter what other tips you are using to build your network marketing business, if you don’t carry a positive mental attitude, you WILL have problems.
If your outlook is always positive and optimistic, no matter what is happening, people will want what you have. You see, people want to have things that are rare and hard to find. Positivity is hard to find… It IS rare. Just look at the news or talk to more people. There is a lot of negativity about a lot of things.
So with a smile on your face and an answer to solving negative problems in your heart and in your head, get out and show people there is a different and better way.
