There are a variety of MLM companies who use and teach their independent representatives to use a party plan system to both recruit and sell products.
- Thirty-One Gifts
- Scentsy
- Tupperware
- and many others

The party plan method works for these companies, so why don’t other MLM companies use the party way?
That is a good question…
In a unique approach, I believe any MLM home based business owner could and should periodically use a party method to recruit and sell.
Today, I am going to just throw you some party ideas that you may want to try for recruiting.
Now I will say that some people in your upline may tell you, “That will never work.” But I ask, have they ever tried?
Because…
Doesn’t everyone like a good party?
Try out these party tips:
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #1: Invite Within Your Target
This type of party is not like that High School party we threw when our parents were away… You don’t just invite anyone and everyone.
You need to identify your target market. Invite people who potentially will need or want your products or services.
Would you invite Slim Jim to your weight loss party? Maybe if Jim is called slim in a joking way and he really weighs 300 LBS.
I believe you see my point.
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #2: Invite Double The Amount You Want To Attend
Statistics are usually a great measurement. No matter the party you are throwing, there will be those who don’t make it for 1 reason or another.
If you want 20 people, I suggest inviting 40. If you want 5, invite 10.
But, do be prepared for the unexpected. It can happen! All 40 may show, so do have a plan for that odd occurrence.
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #3: Have Some Upline Members Present
It is always wise to have some leaders in attendance.
Again, as I stated earlier, they may not agree with this method, but just ask them to (as said down under) “give it a go.”
Prospects may have questions and as the host, you may not be able to delve into the answer to their questions. Your sponsor or upline should be there to help. After all, they benefit in your recruiting efforts too.
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #4: Have A Plan Of Action For Your Party
Before just throwing a party, you need to plan it out… Make it both fun and business.
You may want to integrate some games while also throwing in a short video message about the business opportunity.
You could have contests where awards are samples of your MLM products. Maybe a grand prize of no fee to join – you pay the MLM start up fee.
That is just a couple of ideas… Use your creativity.
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #5: Wear Your Pride
Nearly every MLM company has items especially made so representatives can market without talking.
- Shirts
- Hats
- Bags
- Etc…
So wear your MLM… Party attendees are bound to ask and it is a great way to recruit.
Non-Party MLM Party Tip #6: Tell ‘Em How You Could Splurge
In a humble fashion, I suggest at some point you tell the party goers that you were able to have this party thanks to the extra money you have made since you started the MLM home based business.
Keep in mind that people may not run up immediately asking to join, but by “planting the seed,” they will think and talk about it after.
Be prepared for phone calls afterwards asking how they can make some extra money.
Conclusion
So what do you think?
Why not use a party method to recruit even in a non-party MLM company?
Now, I am not saying this should be your only recruiting method, but a party from time to time could very well bring in some excellent recruits to your business.
Give it a shot and come back and tell me how it went…
