Every good leader sets goals. And every good leader has a vision. But every great leader is able to create a plan and set goals that will ultimately work together to attain that vision.

So that is where you start:

1. Write down your vision.
2. Develop a plan.
3. Set goals that will help you follow the plan.

Best Network Marketing Leader Tip #2: Connect On A Personal Level

Instead of trying to explain this tip, I am just going to give you 3 examples of a network marketing leader talking face-to-face with a person he recruited 2 weeks prior…

Bad Leader – “Hey bud, have you recruited anyone yet? By the way, I forgot your name, what is it?”

Good Leader – “Hi Jim, how is everything? Have you had any luck recruiting yet?”

Great Leader – “Hey Jim, how is Cindy and the kids… Let’s see, John and Jennifer right? I just wanted to tell you I am available to help out on a prospecting mission anytime after you get off work this week if you want. It would be a great chance for us to talk and help you get your business rolling full steam ahead.”

When a leader connects personally, the person feels wanted and loved. They will work harder in that frame of mind. The leader does not add stress, but actually relieves the stress.

Best Network Marketing Leader Tip #3: Know That You Do Not Have To Have Product Knowledge

While some understanding of the product can be beneficial, it is not necessary. We are provided plenty of information from the MLM company itself as well as 3^rd party tools.

Just consider this… If we were to ask the owner, or even a manager of a large retail outlet what ingredients are in the mosquito sprat they sell, do you really think they could answer that?

No!

They would have an employee go look, or they would call the manufacturer to answer your question.

You do not have to have product knowledge to have success in network marketing. You should also teach all your team members the same.

Best Network Marketing Leader Tip #4: Dress And Act Like A Leader

“No one lives long enough to learn everything they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals.” Brian Tracy

You need to “play the part.” Step in front of a full sized mirror. Look closely… Would you want to follow the person looking back at you. Why or why not?

I am not saying that you have to run out and purchase a $500 suit, but do try to dress professionally and groom yourself the same.

Also, how you carry yourself tells whether you are a leader or not. Hold your chin high and act as if you have the world in the cup of your hand.

I am not saying you should be arrogant, but you should act as if you can walk through any roadblock in your path.

Best Network Marketing Leader Tip #5: Be An Educator

Education is the best way to attract people to you. You want to consistently educate with content, video, webinars and seminars. If you are always attentive to people’s needs and desires, you can find ways to educate them to solve problems and gain what they want.

The best leaders are teachers.
