There is a huge debate in network marketing circles on whether you should lead with the product or opportunity. Without “jumping headfirst” into that debate, I must say that if you truly listen to the people you are talking with, your common sense should tell you the answer to that question.

That is the subject of today’s post; here are 5 ways to get new customers for your network marketing business. And once you have a customer, it is even easier to “flip” them into a distributor in your downline.
Get New Customers #1: Ask For Referrals
It should become a habit…
Each and every person you talk to, whether they say no, yes or maybe, you should ask if they know anyone who may like the products or services you offer.
The only time I believe you should not do this is if the person joins the business as a distributor. They will want to approach that person themselves.
Adapt yourself to asking for referrals.
Get New Customers #2: Free Samples
Now, I know that this trick is not always possible. Someone who represents an energy or insurance network marketing business cannot normally give out free samples. But many other MLM business owners do have the ability to do so.
While not every person feels it, the majority will have an inner sense that once you have given them a free sample, they owe a “return,” which means they will probably order from you and if they like the products, will probably keep doing so.
Get New Customers #3: Facebook
Now you don’t want to come off like a used car salesman on the largest social media site. But plenty of network marketers gain new customers from Facebook daily by sharing how the product has helped them and even showing results using live feed.
If you manage your Facebook correctly and not just promote your products, but also be real and share your normal stuff like everyone else does, when you do share product promotion, people will take it serious and will want to try out the “goods.”
Get New Customers #4: Blog
This is a top way many experienced network marketers find both customers and recruits. Just pick a niche that is related to your product line and educate people. Add a call to action in each blog post inviting your readers to try the products.
Get New Customers #5: Have A Call To Action In Your Email Signature
Just consider all the emails you send in a week’s time. Just by adding a simple call to action that promotes your business products or services with a clickable link, you may be amazed as to the amount of new customers you will get.

Remember, recruiting other representatives into your business is an important part but so is getting customers. After all, with no customers, the business will suffer.
So use these tips and always know that once you have a customer loyally using your products, the ease into recruiting them as a representative will become much easier.
